Do time entry layout components need to be recreated for the unified experience?

Summary:

We are working on the transition to redwood timecards and are hoping to move to unified layouts as well to be on the latest version of everything. I am confused on what all needs to be recreated for this. I have enabled the profile option in our test environment. I see that we will need to recreate all our Layout Sets, but it is unclear what to do with the Time Entry Layout Components.

We have no dependent time card fields. Does this mean we do not need to recreate our time entry layout components? When creating a new layout component I see no difference between the new screen and the existing layout components. How can you tell if a layout component is unified or not?
