I am using a lookup dimension for a property but cannot use it for a filter in a Query?

Summary:

I am using a lookup dimension for the user to select a COID for a specific property. Since the table is very large and we cannot sort the list viewpoint by COID, I want the user to be able to query the viewpoint by COID. However, when attempting to do so the values are all greyed out in the Query but not greyed out in the property that uses the lookup.
