Linking Request Non Catalog Learning and Record External Learning together using an HCM journey

Has anyone successfully linked together the Request Non Catalog Learning and Record External Learning together using an HCM journey?

24A Oracle released the ability for these tasks to be able to be added to the application tasks in HCM Journeys. See 24A Application Tasks for Redwood Learning Pages in HCM Journeys.

At the moment in Learning, these processes are unable to be linked i.e. if you request Non Catalog Learning it would be good if you could them use the Record External Learning future to add the result to your transfer and fulfil the request original request. We are wondering if the Oracle's intention with adding these to the applications tasks was so this could be done through journeys, and if so whether anyone has done this?
