Not able to enter completion details after resetting activity in offering

We have instructor-led offerings with optional and required activities.  After a learner has completed all the activities in the offering, there are times we need to reset an individual activity and make correction to completion details.  When we reset an optional activity, the completion details disappear from the page and not able to make any correction.

 

When we reset a required activity, the completion details also disappear from the page and not able to make any correction.

When we reset all activities, the completion details for all activities are removed and open for entry.  But this is not a practical option because we have offerings with many activities, and we only want to reset and make change to a single activity.
