Import Labor from Third Party Application and force accounting period

I need to import labor from a 3rd party application. I need for Oracle to calculate the cost so this is not a costed / accounted entry.

I also need to be able to force the accounting period if my integration brings in a file with dates that cross periods at month end cutover.

I will have 2 periods open, for example, on January 2, 2025, I will still have Dec-24 open and Jan-25 will be open, that file will contain December entries when it comes in, i want the full file to post to Jan-25. Is there a way to do this without using a raw cost accounted source?
