"Period deleted" in audit log

Summary:

When I review the Audit logs, I see records which say Period is deleted by Administrator. There is no impact of this action on the recons. I am wondering what is the process which does this during the daily maintenance and reason behind this, do you also see this in the audit log? The timestamp coincides with the maintenance window. Please refer screenshot for the log.
