Help desk notification - testing/debugging

Hi Team,

I have couple of questions on helpdesk notification. We are in redwood page.

1.We have two ways of configuring the notifications for helpdesk. One is email template creation and object workflow creation. Another one is HR helpdesk → server scripts → entering groovy script and then updating them under notification preferences. Not sure if both will work at the same time. Is there any profile option to switch from one to another. Currently, it works using object workflow notification I beleive.

2.Where to check if helpdesk notification is triggered or not from admin page. For alert, we have alert history and other transactions, we have BPM worklist. Similarly, where to check for helpdesk?
