How to retrieve the balance value based on the Academic Year instead of the Calendar Year.

Hello All,

We have a requirement where we have to capture the balance value based on the Academic Year instead of the Calendar Year (YTD) .

We have an "Education Allowance" element with the following input values:

Child Academic Year (Character)
Child Entitlement Amount (Character)
Child Payment Amount (Money)
Remaining Entitlement (Money)

Employees are eligible to apply for an "Education Allowance" for a specific Academic Year (e.g., 2023-2024).

During an Academic Year (e.g., 2023-2024), employees can apply for the "Education Allowance" multiple times (e.g., 2 or 3 installments).
Each time an employee applies for the "Education Allowance," the system will sum the "Previous Payments" made during that Academic Year. It will then compare this total with the "Child Entitlement Amount" to determine if the employee is eligible to receive the full amount, a partial amount, or nothing for the current application.
