Is it possible to exclude open sales orders based on certain order type for collection/supply plan?

Summary:

We have a requirement to exclude certain type of open sales orders (Order type = Repair and Exchange) for collections.

Business doesn't want to plan such sales orders for material requirements using Supply planning.
We cannot control this using organization Item's planning method/create supply attributes because same item will be used on regular customer sales orders.

Please advise.
