Is it possible to have the display name format only display the first initial of the middle name?

Currently we are testing updating our display name to Known as + Middle Name + Last Name. We'd prefer to have middle name, but only have it display the first initial of the middle name. Has anyone done this before, is it possible?

Example:

First Name = Mary

Middle Name = Marie

Last Name = Doe

Display Name currently = Mary Marie Doe

What we want the display name to be "Mary M Doe"
