Returnable Containers used in Manufacturing

The business process is explained below in terms of the impact on Asset Management and Manufacturing.

Asset Management:

Maintainable asset are created for returnable containers that are used for shipping goods to a customer but are later returned to a customer. The example is like gas containers where the full container is shipped to the customer and later returned. The container has a serial etc and is maintained on a regular basis etc.

Manufacturing

In the example of gas production, the bulk gas is produced in a batch. For example a quantity of 25,000 with UOM in KG.

This bulk gas is then filled into the returnable, asset tracked containers mentioned above, for simplicity lets assume 1,000 Kg per container.
