What is the purpose of having the Inter Company Provider Project

Could you please clarify my doubt.

We have two LE's A and B and these two are belongs to the different BU's and having own BSV's, where an employee X belongs to LE 'A' ad filling the timesheet in receiver/customer project of LE 'B'.

I have created the Provider Project in LE 'A' and created the Receiver/Customer Project in LE 'B'. Created the inter company contract in provider LE and enter the customer details and associated the receiver project.

Employee has enter the time sheet in receiver/customer project, We have created the Inter Company contract and provided the receiver project details at contract level for associate the project, also given the inter company customer details.
