How can we derive the entity based on the employee's home department?

Summary:

We are integrating Payroll to Labor Distribution to Project Costing. Payroll is costing the entity based on the employee's home department. After the payroll costs is processed through Labor Distribution and to Project Costing, we are trying setup SLA to use the employee's home department to derive the entity segment. Based on our review of the 'Manage Subledger Application Transaction Objects' and 'Labor Costs' event class, we do not see the employee's home department as an option. How can we derive the entity based on the employee's home department?
