How to add the URLs of an upload file to plain-text emails

Hi,

This may be a very basic question, but I'd like to ask this just for clarification.

When you upload a new PDF file to File Storage in Component Library and use the URL of the file in an email, how do you make it trackable?
I'd like to track clicks of the file on an plain-text version email.

What I do now is: after uploading a new PDF file to File Storage I get the "Tracked URL" of the file and then just paste it to the plain-text version of an email.

Is this correct way? Thanks!
