why are grade step details not visible in the employee assignment page?

All of the grade, ladder, and rate information seems to be present and correct everywhere else (Workforce Structures/Manage Positions; Compensation/ rate and Grade Steps; Workforce Structure/Position details/Grade ladder and entry grade step) but on the employee’s assignment record.
