what happens to timecard when employee transfer in the middle of time period?

Summary:

what happens to timecard when employee transfer in the middle of time period? Does it create 2 timecards? Or just one timecard?

e.g.
employee transferred from group1 (hourly) to group2 (salaried) in the middle of time period

time period: 1/14 to 1/27

1/14 to 1/20 employee is in group1 - hourly
1/21 to 1/27 employee is in group2 - salaried

A. does the timecard becomes 2 sheets:
1 timecard from 1/14 to 1/20 and 1 timecard for 1/21 to 1/27

B. does the timecard retains as 1 and disable the rest of the days in the time period that the employee is no longer in the group (1/14 to 1/20 is active and 1/21 to 1/27 becomes greyed out and disabled)
