Field to display current pending approval

Summary:

We would like to run are report on pending approval quotes and sort it out based on the group on which the quote is currently pending for approval. while doing this we would like to cover the below two scenarios

1. A field to display the currently pending approval group.
2. A field to display the number of days the approval is pending for the current group since it is triggered.

On trying to get the recent data from approval history field, we are one step short as we can't get the data of the next approval at the time of current approve action. Which is not a valid data for report.
