Repeated XML Generation After FTP Failure – In HCM EXTRACT

edited Sep 26, 2024 7:53AM in HCM Extract 2 comments

Assignment changes were done for 1000 employees. There was an issue with the directory, because of which the hcm extract went into an error in the next run. While the directory issue was eventually resolved, the same XML file continued to be generated during each subsequent run until the FTP issue was addressed 10 days later. My understanding was that if the XML is generated successfully and only the FTP step fails, the same XML file should not be regenerated in future runs.

Can someone confirm whether the entire process flow (XML generation and FTP transfer) must be fully successful for the file to stop regenerating? I would also appreciate any insights into preventing repeated file generation in cases where the FTP transfer fails.

Howdy, Stranger!
