Difference between "Salary Change" v/s "Change Salary" Action Type

edited Sep 30, 2024 3:20AM in Human Capital Management 11 comments

Summary:

On the Configure Actions page, when you attempt to create a new Action Code while mapping to a seeded Action Type you see 2 values in the Action Type field

CHANGE SALARY

SALARY CHANGE

When you query them in the background, this is the mapping you find

ACTION_TYPE_CODE - MEANING

CHANGE_SALARY - Change Salary

CMP_CHANGE_SALARY - Salary Change

What's the difference between these 2? Is it for Core HR versus Compensation module or what is the reasoning behind it?

@Chris Borsh-Oracle @Gail Langendorf-Oracle

This link on Oracle docs says there is only 1 seeded Action Type CMP_CHANGE_SALARY

Howdy, Stranger!
