Cost Accounting period does not exist

Dear All,

while performing Report material transaction in Maintenance system showing error that "You can not create transaction because the cost accounting period for transaction date does not exist"

This transaction is for Inventory which is associated to ledger less cost book and all the periods are in open status.

Raised a SR and engineer offered below solution.

a) Create periods for the primary book and create transactions

b) Disable this inventory date validation flag and create transactions

Now as per client requirement, we can not go for both of above solution and we do not see above appropriate.

is there any way we can counter above error or we have only these two options. Kindly suggest.
