Enabling Increased Length Limits for Data Group Filter Criteria

Hello experts,
As part of 24C, the field limits for data group filter criteria SQLs has now been increased beyond the 4000 character limit that we've had in place previously. However, when I try to add in a lengthier piece of code (beyond 4000 characters) and save - I still get the original error message around field length.
Any tips on how we can enable this option? From the release notes (below), it doesn't look like there's a profile option / flag that we might have to setup as well.
