ADFDI Deployment as an Integrated App in O365

Our org is looking to package up the ADFDI Excel Add-in and deploy it to our user base.

From what I can see, the installer is available as an MSI installer either for the current user or for the local machine and appears to be a COM Addin.

The o365 administrators are asking if its possible to deploy this as an Integrated App in O365 and are asking for xml files and a manifest URL for deployment.

Can anyone confirm if this is a supported deployment strategy?
