Create pricing strategy assignment rules based on order line attributes

We have a requirement to create pricing strategy assignment rules using order line attributes. We see an option to create line level strategy, but it does not seem to be working for sales orders Can you please let us know what are all the configurations we need to do, to enable pricing derive line level strategies?
