We currently do not have Ownership Management enabled as it really isn't needed for our organization. We do however move Entity members around on occasion (maybe 1-2 times per year) that becomes a massive headache of unlocking prior periods, reconsolidating history to fix opening balances, then relocking all periods. Last year at Kscope when we heard about Enhanced Org by Period, we were hoping this would alleviate this issue so we were a bit disappointed when we heard this was only available in apps with Ownership Management enabled.
