HDL updates to absence entry flex field leads to change in leave duration hours

While trying to update a flex field (Attribute2 of ANC_PER_ABSENCE_ENTRY table) via HDL, system modifies the applied leave duration based on employee workschedule. HDL does not have any values passed for duration field. Even if we try to pass the existing leave duration in HDL and then try to update the attribute2, system still changes the absence hour duration based on work schedule hours.
