    Hi Team,

    During the database upgrade for OCI DBaaS (12c to 19c), we encountered a failure in the database upgrade job, as indicated by the error in the trace log file. Upon investigation, we discovered that the job_queue_processes parameter for the PDB was set to "0" by application team as per alert log. After resetting this parameter to the default value of "64" and restarting the database upgrade, the process completed successfully.

    However, the customer mentioned that this parameter is also set to "0" in UAT and other environments too, but we they did not experience this issue elsewhere. For instance, in the UAT environment, the job_queue_processes parameter is set to "0" before upgrade by application team, yet the upgrade proceeded without any database upgrade pre-check job failures.
