24D Redwood: learning recommendations and learning initiatives

Hello,

I noticed that in Oracle HCM Learning, it's possible to manually recommend a Learning Initiative. However, with the 24D release, Oracle introduced a new feature that allows managing recommendations by defining an audience and scheduling a processing date. Hence, what is the difference between the previous recommendation method for a learning initiatives and this new functionality introduced in the 24D release?

Thank you

Alessandra
