We want to know the OIC message details for the app-driven integration using a file polling adapter when no files are present

We have an integration that is app-driven, and it will trigger only if a file is placed in a specific SFTP location. We want to know if, even when no file is present, the adapter is still monitoring the location for a file within a specific duration. If no file is placed, I believe no instance will be created in the OIC instance. However, will this still consume any message packs?
