safety stock quantity update at Item level for Planning - for specific item

Summary:

we have a requirement to update the Safety Stock Quantity for the specific item at Item level, so that when collections run, and after plan run the updated safety stock can appear in Planning, but it seems there is not direct Safety Stock Quantity field available in Inventory. Can you please confirm if we have any other approach to update the Safety stock for few items other than FBDI.
