Is there a way where I can import SyllabusText content with HTML tags to Courses?

SyllabusText field in Course HDL file is not allowing to import content with HTML tags in few cases. Even though the field length is below 4000, during processing of HDL file, it is calculating HTML tags as extra spaces and is sometimes exceeding 4000 characters. Is there a way where I can import such content to Courses?
