Best Practice for merging 2 usernames

Hi There,

Could you please help us with the best practice to be followed for merging the user profiles during conversion. Below is our current scenario.

Our client is currently using R12 HRMS for HR system (Core HR, Payroll and Benefits) and have SCM modules in Oracle cloud with very basic employee's data in HCM (for creating User profiles).

We are in process of migrating full HR system (Core HR, Benefits and Compensation) to Oracle Fusion HCM now. Also, as part of this migration, Client team wants to change all employee's Employee number to new series (from 6 digit to 8 digits). So, we need to re-create all the existing Employee records and re-create the user profiles in HCM.
