Hello,

We are a Packaging manufacturer and moving from oracle EBS to Oracle Fusion. In Oracle EBS we were first manufacturing sub-assembly items and eventually we were using these sub-assembly items to manufacture our Finished Goods.

For example:

We have to produce finished goods item of Washing Powder Packaging for that we follow following steps in Oracle EBS:

Sub-assembly 1 where we manufacture Printed Rolls.

Sub-assembly 2 where we laminate the printed Rolls.

And Sub-assembly 3 & 4 are additional laminations as per the customer requirements (Very rare).

Finished goods: Here we perform slitting operation to cut the laminated films and last operation is Packing which is also a part of finished goods job.
