FA_METHODS table contains life LIFE_IN_MONTHS field . However , we observed multiple values for it

So FA_METHODS table basically stores the LIFE_IN_MONTHS field in oracle cloud , which is eventually used for calculating the life of an asset .However We observed multiple values for the field (May be history records , not sure) .

Like for one asset(1960) , screen entry value for life in months is 5 years (60 Months) , however there is a row for the asset that stores 720 month (May be history record not sure) .Because of that our report also shows 720 months for some records for that asset . Is there any way to find current value (i.e 60 months) .
