Health & Safety - How Notified Human Resources functionality works?

When we are editing a event there we are able to see 1 checkbox - Notified Human Resources. So just need clarification how it works.
Q1 - Do we need to configure something from alerts?
Q2 - Is this checkbox is only present in Illness & Injury Event type for other event type I am not able to see
