Paysheet stuck in processing status

Hi Team,

Use Case-We terminated a participant on 31-May-2024, in turn end dating the role assignment to 31-May-2024 but we updated Compensation End Date to 31-Aug-2024

We were able to create July-2024 paybatch successfully but the paysheet for this participant is getting stuck in processing state.
Is this expected behaviour? If yes, then what is the purpose of Compensation End Date field then?
We suppose it's purpose is to Override active end date, which is used by assignment and payment processes but this is not working as expected.
