Standard Customer Fields on Transaction

The standard field for tagging customer "_Sold_To_Customer" on Transaction accepts CUST_ACCOUNT_ID and display value is AccountDescription. Account Description field is not a required field when setting up an AR Account. How can we change it to Account Name? Also we want to link the address related fields to auto populate based on customer selection. Is this something we can change and automate?
