Null Asset_ID in Asset_ID column of FA_APPROVAL_SUMMARY table impacts approval reports

I am trying to create a report that would list all the approvals that occur for our asset transactions. When I ran the table for FA_APPROVAL_SUMMARY for additions I noticed that sometimes the ASSET_ID field is blank. If that is blank how would I be able to tie the approval to the actual asset?
