How the Lead times are calculated in Calculate Lead Times and Roll Up Cumulative Lead Times

We have executed the ESS 'Calculate Lead Times and Roll Up Cumulative Lead Times' with scope as 'Calculate Manufacturing Lead time' and the Lead times are getting updated on the Items.

If we execute the ESS with scope as 'Calculate Cumulative Lead Time', we can find the Lead times getting updated on Items and in the structure level items.


Is this the expected behavior.
We need to understand how these values are calculated. the mathematical formula / steps applied in the ESS Calculate Lead Times and Roll Up Cumulative Lead Time
