Unable to serach stock by 'Common Stock'

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information): We are using project driven supply chain. As such, stock is received against a specific project. In Inventory Management > Manage Item Quantities, it allows you search by a specific project as part of the search criteria. When I search by a defined and established project '12345' for example, I can see stock brought in against that project. However, when I want to see stock against the 'Common' project, no search results are returned.

Common stock is a feature of project driven supply chain and you can pick stock from it etc. Why is it not possible to search stock against it?
