How to Merge column headings after grouping columns

So I have created a sample report from sample data model to explain the issue here.

I have grouped columns on years. Please find the report layout below (Image 1) and its preview (image 2). When i preview the report I want the headers to be merged and centered for data and the formula columns, if i merge the cells in the layout (Image 3 ) it gets merged for all the cells that are grouped. (Image 4) and separate years do not show. Is there a way to fix the issue?
