Is there a difference between cancelling Contract Purchase Agreements and Finally Closing
Currently there is no functionality to auto close contract agreements when they expire so the only option is for them to be Finally Closed manually.
In order to Finally Close a CPA all associated Purchase Orders must also be at Finally Closed status.
Finally closing each Purchase Order manually can take time,
It is however possible to cancel a Purchase Agreement providing the associated PO's are at Closed / Cancelled status.
I have been unable to find a definitive answer anywhere, but is there any real difference between Cancelling the Agreement and Finally Closing the agreement.
From what I can see there is no real difference besides the status name. Cancelling creates a change revision, but other than that I believe the overall behaviour is the same. Can you clarify whether this is the case, or is it not recommended you use the Cancel functionality for this purpose?
