24D: Issue with Self-Paced Learning Embedded Content Reconciliation

Summary: We are testing set up of 24D Self-Paced Learning Items. We’ve observed that embedded content (web links or PDF documents, for example) that is later updated by a Learning Administrator does not display for active Learners after reconciliation is run.

I've already raised an SR with Oracle (4-0000163460) but adding here for visibility and in case anyone else has a resolution to this issue. I'll update this post with any solutions Oracle Support provides!

Content: For example, I created a Self-Paced Learning item with the content being an embedded PDF document. As an enrolled Learner, I was able to view the embedded content without an issue. As Learning Administrator, I navigated back to the Definition setup for this Learning item and replaced the PDF with a new one (also embedded) and then reconciled the content. I made sure the PDF processing was finished and then clicked to Reconcile.
