Group requisition lines not working for lines with different projects

We have a business case where for the MRP requisition lines for same item having different project numbers should be grouped into a single PO line and create multiple schedules based based on projects.

But PO line should be 1, as for supplier it is not relevant in for how many projects the PO is raised and we want to send only consolidated quantity to Supplier.

We have enabled the option 'Group Requisition Lines' option but the same is not working.
