Absence validation fast formula not working as expected in redwood

Summary:

We have a validation fast formula, that a person can take just 1 day of a particular leave type in a year. This validation fast formula is working fine in classic/RUI, but it is not working as expected in redwood.

In redwood, the person is getting an error that you already have taken 1 day of leave, even though person never had this leave. It seems this is specific to redwood since it is working fine in classic/RUI. Can anyone guide please?

This is happening for multiple validation fast formulas in redwood.
