How to calculate and Store a parent where hierarchySet is required to be used in the expression?

Summary:

The hierarchySet is available in the Expression interface against CoreStats.parent, however the EDMCS documentation (Chapter 22-page 31) indicates that this cannot be used to calculate and store a parent node. Are Oracle looking at lifiting this restriciton?

We have several use cases where we need to calculate and store the parent of a node. In these use cases, we require the ability to filter on the hierarchy set to ensure the correct parent is identified and calculated.
