Audi Trail on Custom Action

Have anyone managed to set Audit Trail on Custom Actions? It could be simple entry that action was triggered - when and by whom. I dont expect to catch all the action did, just the trigger moment. Havent had a deeper look yet, but so far didnt see any way to acheave it. I`ve set the action checks on custom actions and that works ok, but any thoughs on audit trail ?
