Lines are not deleted from Salesforce when deleted from Commerce CPQ quote

Summary:

The new CPQ Connector 8.8 has been installed on our test site. Items are copied over to Salesforce through the integration files. When an item is deleted from CPQ, it can still be found in the quote in SF.

With the managed package 7.*, when lines are deleted from the CPQ quote they are also removed from the Products object in Salesforce for that quote. With the new CPQ Connector 8.8 and updated integration files, this is now not happening. What are we missing that allows this process to work?
