what is the difference between "Manage Intercompany Inbound Transactions" and "Manage Intercompany outbound Transactions"

I have went through the oracle documents but still could not figure out the business case why we have 2 seperate tab for inbound and outbound transaction. I can only see few extra search filter in outbound task than inbound one.
