How Can We Identify Custom Reporting Populations

edited Jan 3, 2025 3:26AM in Human Capital Management

Summary:

We are currently exploring ways to effectively segment our employee populations within Oracle Fusion based on a mix of standard and non-standard criteria, such as Assignment Type, User Person Type, Union membership, and more.

Our initial strategy involves creating a custom security role and leveraging auto-provisioning rules to dynamically manage membership in our reporting groups. The aim is to automate this process to maintain consistency and accuracy in our reporting, ensuring that personnel changes are reflected in real-time across all standard reports and analyses.

Given the complexities of this task, particularly the automatic adjustment of group memberships as employee statuses change (e.g., from employee to contractor), I'm reaching out to gather insights on how other customers might be handling similar challenges. While Dynamic Flex Fields (DFFs) come to mind, our requirement for automatic management of these groups complicates their use.

Howdy, Stranger!
