How to Download Large-Sized Application Snapshot More Efficiently via REST API?

I have an EPBCS (Planning) account where I am using a REST API (version 2) to download the Application Snapshot (see link attached).

I am running into an issue where the API takes about >45-60 minutes to successfully download the zip file - this is because the zip file is very large.

Is there a more effective/efficient way of downloading the zip file via this API?
